Em Faraday "I want my baseball back" has stuck with me since I first heard the line, and I don't know why. This song (and album) is super cute and always makes me smile when I listen to it. Favorite track: Dreamcatcher.

about

It's so easy to get caught up in life and forget who you are. Writing is the perfect escape for me. For just a moment, it lets me feel complete, like I know exactly who I am, like I'm in control of all my problems. I'm trying to be more honest with myself, and in turn, with everyone else. These songs were written about a variety of things. From remembering what it was like to be a kid - to giving away my first guitar - to wishing my grandparents never had to leave me - to the new friends who made my summer unforgettable - to trying to find who I used to be. The term, "the leaves will fall" is an expression of optimism. As a tree sheds it's leaves every Autumn, it becomes the purest, most delicate form of itself - with no mask, nothing to hide what it truly is. I put this collection of songs together in hope that the leaves will fall again, if even for a short season.
